Maccabi Tel Aviv is one of Israel's most famous basketball teams. In 1977 the team won the European Champions Cup — the most important club trophy in Europe.
The team was led by Tal Brody, a legendary player who was born in America and moved to Israel. After a huge win, he said the famous words "We are on the map!" — Israel had shown the whole world what it could do.
For Israel, this was much more than a game. It was a moment of national pride that people still remember today.
